The Denver Recorder Society is open to all musicians. Our membership dues help support our chapter's endeavors, but you are not required to be a member to participate in a monthly playing meeting. Our dues help support our hiring of professional music directors and the extra programs and events that we offer.
Benefits of becoming a member of the Denver Recorder Society include:
-
Enabling and supporting recorder playing as a shared social and musical experience along the Front Range;
-
Supporting our music director and other guest directors who bring their professional experience, enthusiasm, and hand-chosen music/materials to share during the monthly meetings;
-
Supporting our extra programs including the Augusta Bleys Composition Competition and various workshops, including our popular Rocky Mountain workshop;
-
Hosting professional recorder players/teachers who enrich the music programs we can offer;
-
Bringing professional early music ensembles that will perform and teach in the Denver metro area;
-
Outreach programs that foster the recorder as an instrument that engages all ages in musical and social experiences.
